Meanwhile, a new federal office, the Federal Infrastructure Permitting Improvement Steering Council, to monitor environmental review and permitting efforts for large projects. The Council is included in Title 41 of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST) enacted in December 2015; thus, it is referred to as FAST-41. The Council will have a "Permitting Dashboard" website for each project.
