| Summary: | This study is being conducted for the Integrated Licensing Process as required by FERC for the planned Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. In this study potential seismic hazards are identified and deterministic and probabilistic seismic hazard evaluations are conducted in order to estimate earthquake ground motion parameters at the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project site and to develop seismic design criteria for the Project. The study area encompasses subduction-related sources and Quaternary crustal seismic sources within a 62-mile radius of the Watana Dam site with a focus on the dam site and reservoir area. This report is a comprehensive discussion of the results of the study since the beginning of the study program in 2012 through June 2015, and represents the completion report. |
