| Summary: | River stage fluctuations due to alternative operations of the Watana Dam are estimated for the Susitna River from the Devil Canyon damsite to the Sunshine gage station located 14 miles downstream of the confluence of the Susitna and Chulitna rivers. Such operations would cause considerable fluctuation of reservoir releases within short time intervals. Both dams make up the proposed Susitna Hydroelectric Project. An later report by the same title was issued in May 1984 (Document no. 1652) in order to provide a study of stage fluctuations for more moderate discharge variations than those covered in this report. |
