Summary: | The proposed Alaska LNG Project is targeting Nikiski for its LNG plant site, which would require an environmental impact statement before construction. In anticipation of the environmental study process, lessons might be learned from looking at the three-volume environmental impact statement written for the proposed Western LNG Project, which is described in this report. The new project calls for a Nikiski plant that is larger in scope than what the earlier project demanded, and other variables have changed, such as review by government agencies. That report was published in 1978 as: Western LNG Project, final environmental impact statement. |
