| Summary: | This study is being conducted to collect baseline data on subsistence harvesting and to document traditional and contemporary subsistence use within or near the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project area. Information is being collected through surveys, subsistence mapping interviews, and traditional local knowledge interviews. Alaska Energy Authority selected 37 communities inside and outside the Susitna River watershed whose harvests of natural resouces could be affected by the Project. This report details Alaska Energy Authority's progress in implementing the study during 2014, and is intended to supplement Part A of the Initial Study Report. |
