Summary:The economic effects of the proposed Outer Continental Shelf petroleum development in the North Aleutian Shelf are measured. A baseline analysis (since 1960) is provided at the statewide level and regional level (for Anchorage, Aleutian Islands, and Bristol Bay). Base case projections are measured against direct and indirect economic effects for 1980 to 2000. The primary concern is OCS Sale no. 75 in the eastern Bering Sea, but projections involving sales BF, 55, 57, 60, 70 and 71 are also given.
