Description
Summary:As part of the Alaska Energy Authority's license application submitted to FERC for the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project, studies are needed on how construction and operation will affect flow, sediments, and water temperature on the Susitna River. These modified regimes will affect distribution and composition of fish habitat. This study plan outlines the objectives and methods for establishing baseline descriptions and potential Project-related effects to fish and their habitats in the study area upstream of the dam to the Oshetna River. The fishes affected include chinook salmon and nine non-salmon species.
