Summary:This documents describes studies to be performed to support the Alaska Energy Authority's license application for the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. Construction and operation of the project will result in habitat loss and alteration and in blockage of movement. The study plan objectives presented here are to synthesize data available from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game on abundance, distribution, movements, and habitat use for moose, caribou, bears, Dall's sheep, and wolves; and to evaluate the adequacy of this information for assessing potential Project-related effects on these big game resources in the upper and middle Susitna River basins.
