Summary:A report on surveys of nesting habitat for peregrine falcons near the Northwest Alaskan Gas Pipeline route which runs from Prudhoe Bay in the north down to cross the Canadian border near Tok in the eastern part of the state. Surveys were conducted in 1980 to locate and gather information on nesting peregrine falcons in the proposed natural gas pipeline alignment, and to compliment previous related surveys. The areas surveyed were Tanana River, areas near the Yukon River, the area near mile 39 of the Elliott Highway, and the Sagavanirktok River area (encompassing Sagwon Bluffs, Franklin Bluffs, and Slope Mountain).
