Summary:With half of Russia's federal budget coming from oil and gas revenues, Russia is looking in how to market its natural gas for a greater world share, but competition is tough, and transporting its supply over long distances is difficult and expensive. Russia is considering several LNG projects (extending existing pipelines and adding new lines) for exporting its natural gas. ExxonMobil is partnering with Rosneft in Sakhalin, but Gazprom has been granted an export monopoly.
