This natural gas pipeline carries western Canada natural gas from northeastern British Columbia to Chicago, Illinois. It was one of the longest and most expensive pipelines built. Enbridge Inc. and Veresen Inc. are the two 50% holding companies. Deregulation in Canada on October 31, 1985 became a factor.
