520 |a This study is being conducted as part of a series of studies to be submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for licensing of the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project in Alaska. Study 9.6 describes the current fish assemblage (including spatial and temporal distribution) and the relative abundance by species and by life stage in the Susitna River downstream of the proposed Watana Dam with emphasis on early life history of salmonids and seasonal movements of selected species. The study area includes the river from river mile 32.3 (immediately upstream of the confluence with the Yentna River) upstream to the dam site at river mile 187.1. This document describes the methods and results of Alaska Energy Authority's efforts in implementing the study since June 2014, and is intended to supplement Part A of the Initial Study Report that was published in June 2014.
