The study includes species of conservation concern, both landbirds and shorebirds, that are known or expected to occur in the Project area, as well as numerous other species that are protected under the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act. The study area encompasses a 2-mile buffer zone around the Project dam and camp facilities, access routes, transmission lines, and inundation zone, and includes the proposed Denali corridor (within the Nenana River watershed). This report describes Alaska Energy Authority's methods and results in pursuing the study during 2014, and is intended to supplement Part A of the Initial Study Report. In 2014, the study team conducted field surveys to obtain point-count data. | ||
