This report describes arctic grayling at Fielding Lake, which is located approximately 20 miles north of Paxson and the Denali Highway-Richardson Highway intersection. The study was conducted in 1954 and focused mainly on spawning, but mentions also fertility and migration.

This report was later revised by George W. Warner under the same title in two known versions. One version was published in "Quarterly progress report, surveys and investigations as required by Federal Aid in Fish Restoration, Fish and Wildlife Service and Alaska Game Commission. Title: Game fish investigations of Alaska," pages 1-10. A different version was published as the presentation for the 7th Alaska Science Conference Juneau, Alaska, held September 1956
