Description
Summary:This atlas was created to show mesohabitats, macrohabitats, backwater, and beaver complexes in the channels and sloughs of the Susitna River as part of the planning of the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. It covers the Susitna River from river mile 99 at Talkeetna to river mile 234.5 immediately before the Oshetna River confluence. Its purpose is to show all aquatic habitats in the river with the potential to be altered and/or lost as the result of reservoir filling, hydropower operations, and associated changes in flow, water surface elevation, sediment regime, and temperature.
Physical Description:1 atlas (1, 55 p.) : 55 col. maps ; 28 x 43 cm.
Notes:"Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project (FERC No. 14241)."

"November 2014."

"Alaska Energy Authority ; Map author: R2 - Joetta Zablotney"--Map legends.

Statement of scale is based on the bar scale when displayed on a computer monitor at 100% size. The result is a fraction that is twice the size given in the scale statement on the maps shown in Attachment K (SuWa 265), which show roughly the same proportion of land.

ARLIS assigned report number: SuWa 266.

This document was filed to FERC as Attachment L to: Filing of Initial Study Plan Meetings transcripts and additional information in response to October 2014 Initial Study Plan Meetings. (SuWa 254).

This document is an errata document intended to replace the entirety of Appendices C and D of "Characterization and mapping of aquatic habitats, Study plan Section 9.9, Initial study report" (SuWa 223, Section 9.9) dated June 2014. (Those appendices actually appear in two separate volumes (or PDF files); Appendix C appears with Appendix B in one PDF file.) It includes a new title page dated November 2014.

The statement "Part A - Appendix A: Remote line mapping, 2012" appears on each map page, but that is incorrect. This 55-map document (SuWa 266, which is Attachment L to SuWa 254) released in November replaces a 50-map atlas that appears as Appendices C and D of "Characterization and mapping of aquatic habitats, Study plan Section 9.9 : Initial study report" (SuWa 223, Section 9.9) released in June. Appendix A of that June report is a different 27-map atlas that was replaced by SuWa 265 (which is Attachment K to SuWa 254).
Report Type:November 14, 2014 technical memorandum filings.
