Summary:This report describes a study to assess potential changes in regional economic conditions resulting from the operation of the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project and from the electric power generated by the Project. The study includes the effects of the Project resulting from improved reliability of the electrical power grid and effects of the Project on electric price stability. The study area is referred to as the Railbelt, which includes the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Denali Borough, Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Municipality of Anchorage, and Kenai Peninsula Borough.
