Summary:The purpose of this office-based study is to characterize past and current hunter effort and harvest levels in the region of the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project by summarizing and analyzing data from the Alaska Department of Fish & Game harvest database for Alaska, which also includes some harvest data from subsistence users reported to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The study area encompasses much of the Susitna River basin (extending west to the Kahiltna River) and includes the southern part of the Nenana River basin and parts of the Copper River basin. This document details Alaska Energy Authority's status in implementing the study.
