Description
Summary:Construction and operation of the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project requires temporary and permanent infrastructure (access roads, transmission lines, airports, and construction sites). The objectives of this study are to characterize the aquatic habitats and fish assemblages at potential stream crossings along proposed access road and transmission line alignments and to describe aquatic habitats and species present within the construction area for the dam and related hydropower facilities. The study area includes lakes and streams within a 200-meter (650-foot) buffer zone of such infrastructure in the Susitna River and Tanana River basins. This document details Alaska Energy Authority's status in implementing the study as set forth in the FERC-approved Revised study plan and as modified by FERC's Study plan determination issued February 1, 2013.
