520 |a The purposes of this study are to determine the current prevalence of invasive vascular plants in the Project area and nearby disturbed areas and to assess the risk of the continued spread of invasive species as a result of Project development. The Invasive Plant Study encompasses an area broader than that was chosen for the 2013 study. The 2013 study area focused on disturbed areas near the Project that could act as potential pathways for species to enter and establish the Project area including sections of the George Parks and Denali highways that are close to possible alignments for access roads and transmission lines, primitive roads and off-road vehicle trails emanating from the Denali Highway that provide access into the Project area, and other disturbed areas near these highway corridors.
