Description
Summary:The goals of this study are to conduct deterministic and probabilistic seismic hazard evaluations to estimate earthquake ground motion parameters at the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project site, assess the risk at the site and the loads that the Project facilities would be subject to during and following seismic events, and propose design criteria for Project facilities and structures considering the risk level. A focused study will include the dam site and an area within a 62-mile (100-kilometer) radius around that site. A general study will include an area within a 125-mile (200 kilometer) radius.
