520 |a The objectives for this study are to inventory and document baseline aesthetic (e.g. visual, auditory) conditions within the study area and evaluate the potential effects to aesthetic resources that may result from construction and operation of the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. The analysis will focus on assessing these potential effects and will help identify potential design and other mitigation options. The primary study area is defined as a 30-mile buffer zone surrounding Project components (dam, reservoir, transmission lines, access corridors, dam, and camp facilities, and borrow sites). A secondary study area will encompass a region far larger to include the Parks Highway (western boundary), the Denali Highway (northern boundary), the Richardson Highway (eastern boundary), and the Glenn Highway (southern boundary).
