Description
Summary:This letter and memorandum share information in regards to beaver cache surveys conducted in autumn 1984 in sloughs of the Susitna River, Alaska. The chief concern is the overwintering of beavers during changing ice and flow conditions.
Physical Description:[2] leaves ; 28 cm.
Notes:Title from Susitna Hydroelectric Project document index.

Consists of: (1) letter to Charles L. Elliott, Biologist, Harza-Ebasco Susitna Joint Venture, from Philip S. Gipson, Assistant Unit Leader, Alaska Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit, University of Alaska, Fairbanks, dated October 10, 1984; (2) Harza-Ebasco Susitna Joint Venture intra-office memorandum to Gene Gemperline, from Chuck Elliott, dated October 31, 1984, with subject title: Beaver-ice related questions in the Susitna River.

The letter from Philip S. Gipson was originally accompanied by a table about beavers in sloughs and by 8 slides. Chuck Elliott forwarded duplicate slides with his memorandum which was a key to the slides. That table and the slides are not available.

The Susitna Hydroelectric Project document index lists this document as 10 pages. Only two pages are available (the actual letter and memorandum). Those two pages were microfilmed, and that microfiche was later digitally scanned and printed out. Accompanying pages and slides were not reproduced during microfilming and are now lost; they are assumed to represent the other eight pages.

Stamped and written on first letter: Susitna File # 4.3.3.3.
