Description
Summary:The purpose of the subsistence baseline documentation study is to document traditional and contemporary subsistence harvest and use in the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project study area in order to provide a basis for impact assessment, avoidance, minimization, and development of mitigation; and to provide the information that will serve as the basis for compliance with FERC's National Environmental Policy Act analysis for the Project license. Communities and subsistence use areas to be studied are those within the Susitna River watershed and also throughout Southcentral Alaska. Traditional local knowledge is to be documented as well.
