Description
Summary:This report describes a computer program, called ICECAL, developed by Darryl J. Calkins of Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, used for modeling instream ice. The program was used to model the Susitna River reach from the confluence at Talkeetna to Gold Creek. This reach includes many of the more important sloughs, and is expected to experience a greater change in winter regime than the lower river area in the event of dam construction. Data have been collected in this reach since 1980 and include the most complete data available on the river for ice modelling purposes.
