Chakachamna hydroelectric alternative for the Railbelt region of Alaska /

This report describes plans for hydroelectric power generation by diverting water from Lake Chakachamna through a tunnel southeasterly to a powerhouse at the McArthur River. In this scenario, no dam is built. Engineering, scocioeconomic, cost, and environmental constraints are discussed.
