Check-Out Limits
Users may check out up to 25 items.
Book Renewals
Books may be renewed online, using your library card account and personal identification number, or by calling the ARLIS reference desk. Renew your books BEFORE the due date to avoid overdue fines.
Book Return Location
Books checked out from ARLIS, the Anchorage Public Libraries or the UAA/APU Consortium Library may be returned to any of these cooperating libraries.
A book drop is available outside the UAA Social Sciences Building and books may be returned there any time of day or night.

ARLIS will borrow materials for founding agency patrons only. See Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services via ILLiad page.
Interlibrary loan services for the general public are available at Consortium Library’s Info Quest or Anchorage Public Library Interlibrary Loan. Fees may apply.
Overdue Fines
Books and other items checked out from ARLIS that become overdue will accrue fines at the rate of $.25 per item per day. Fines may be paid at the UAA/APU Consortium Library circulation desk or at any Anchorage Public Library. Online fine payment is available at ARLIS. To avoid overdue fines, renew books BEFORE the due date.
Fines for materials from the Anchorage Public Library or the UAA/APU Consortium Library may be paid at those libraries or online.
Location Restrictions
ARLIS library cards are available to any Alaska resident living on the road system connecting to Anchorage.
Users who do not live on the road system or live out-of-state may borrow materials by requesting them through interlibrary loan from their local library.

Coin-operated photocopiers are available in the Consortium Library Copy Center, adjacent to ARLIS.
Two overhead-style books scanners are available for use, without charge, in the Consortium Library Copy Center. Scans may be sent to an email account or saved to a USB thumb drive.
