The ARLIS reference desk is staffed Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m, except on holidays. Most ARLIS collections are accessible during evenings and weekends when the Consortium Library building is open.
Where do I park when I go to ARLIS?
Free parking is available to ARLIS library users. ARLIS parking passes, available at the ARLIS reference desk, may be used
* on any level of the Central Parking Garage located off Alumni Loop,
* on any level of the East Parking Garage near the Integrated Science Building and
* in the parking lot next to the Library Building.
See the map below for details. Free parking is also available without a pass after 7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and all day Friday-Sunday. Parking is generally not enforced between semesters and during spring break; however, contact ARLIS or UAA Parking Services to verify, as this is subject to change.
ARLIS regrets that, due to UAA parking policies, we cannot provide parking passes for UAA students, staff, or faculty. ARLIS will not grant free parking to any library card holder with fines exceeding $5.00.
What about handicap parking?
For those eligible for disability parking, handicap spaces are available on the first and third levels of the Central Parking Garage and outside the Central Parking Garage, next to the Social Sciences Building in the East Campus Central Lot. ARLIS parking passes are required.
After I park how do I get to ARLIS?
From the Central Parking Garage, you can walk to ARLIS without even going outside. Proceed from the Central Parking Garage through the Social Science Building to the library building. ARLIS is located on the first floor in Suite 111, on the left just beyond the Consortium Library circulation desk.
From the parking lot next to the library building, proceed to the North Entrance directly adjacent to the library parking lot or the front door on the Providence Drive side of the building.
From the East Parking Garage, proceed along Alumni Loop to the library building. The UAA SeaWolf Shuttle is also available.
