Furs, Skulls, Birds and Fish Mounts

Furs, Skulls, Bird Mounts & Fish Mounts are made available at ARLIS by the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation, U.S. Fish &amp wildlife Service, and private donors. Most items may be checked out from ARLIS for a 2-week period and may be renewed once for an additional two weeks. An inventory is available for download.

Also available for download is a 34-page guide for the circulating bird and fish mounts. For each specimen, the guide includes a photograph, including a ruler to show the size of the specimen, and the size of the box in which the specimen is circulated.

These items are available on a first-come/first-served basis. Please check the catalog for availability by doing a keyword search using the name of the animal or bird exactly as it appears in the list. If the search produces too many hits, add keyword “realia”.
