The staff of geologists and mining engineers of the Juneau - John Rishel Mineral Information Center conducted regional mineral assessment studies of mining districts in Alaska from 1984 to 2007. In southeast Alaska, field studies have been completed for the Juneau, Ketchikan (includes Hyder) and Chichagof mining districts. Mineral deposit information from the Ketchikan Mining District is available below.
