The staff of geologists and mining engineers of the Alaska Resources Library and Information Services (ARLIS) have been conducting regional mineral assessment studies of mining districts in Alaska since 1984. In southeast Alaska, field studies have been completed for the Juneau, Ketchikan (includes Hyder) and Chichagof mining districts. Mineral deposit information from the Ketchikan Mining District is available below.
