Summary: The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), Fisheries & Water Resources Policy Committee (FWRPC), Subcommittee on Water (SOW) hosted a national water data webinar on August 10, 2020. The aim of the webinar, called "AFWA Water Data Webinar," was to improve collaboration among experts who use water data and decision support system tools. Speakers (in four presentations representing regional and national perspectives) provide overviews of their database water quantity/quality data and of their information-related initiative (including objectives, stakeholders, and funding resources). Afterwards, speakers from U.S. Geological Survey and the Interstate Council on Water Policy present observations of their experience in regards to whether sharing such knowledge was of value, explore opportunities and benefits for these and other similar initiatives, and discuss whether there should be a follow-up effort. A question-and-answer session follows. Overall, these proceedings, augmented by supplemental webinar links and background information, pertain to these programs:
