A North Atlantic seal included here on the authority of Murie's (1936) secondhand description from Saint Lawrence Island:

"Natives describe a seal which closely resembles the saddle-backed seal from the north Atlantic, and recognize pictures of it. None has been taken since Mr. Geist's acquaintance with the island, but it is reported to have been taken occasionally in rather recent years."
