Volume 1 -- This version of volume 1 resembles the print version in that it has the original pagination ("xv, 353 pages" with the map and illustrations lacking page numbers) and full-size tables.   But unlike the original print, the map and illustrations are black-and-white.

Volume 1 -- An alternative version of volume 1 with pagination "xv, 433 pages."   Like the original print, it has color illustrations.   Unlike the original print, the text is printed across the pages resulting in the difference in pagination (with the illustrations appear on pages numbered 161-180), and the tables are reduced in size and appear faint.

Volume 2 -- All illustrations and maps were scanned in black-and-white.   See the original text for color versions.
