Summary: The U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service prepared this supplemental environmental impact statement to inform the implementation of an oil and gas leasing program on the Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in accordance with Public Law (PL) 115-97, Section 20001(c)(1) which requires the Bureau to hold at least 2 sales of at least 400,000 acres each by December 22, 2024. The leasing SEIS considers three action alternatives. The Bureau considered and analyzed the environmental impact of these various leasing alternatives, including the areas to offer for sale, and the indirect impacts that could result in consideration of the hypothetical development scenario.
