| The
Division of Fishes of the Museum of Zoology is a research
resource and teaching center dedicated to the study of fish
evolution, phylogeny, distribution, ecology, and behavior.
We have about 3.5 million catalogued specimens which are available
for study. The collections are especially rich in specimens
from the U.S. and Mexico, but we also have excellent collections
from Southeast Asia, Japan, the Neotropics, and Africa. Our
current projects include work on cichlids, Asian catfishes,
Neotropical characins, and North American diversity patterns
and fossils. |
