Coffman's OT Tally Lifts Women's Soccer Over Arizona

Playing its second double-overtime match in three days, the Michigan women's soccer team scored midway through the second extra period to hand 17th-ranked Arizona a 1-0 loss Sunday, Aug. 27, at the U-M Soccer Field. Judy Coffman (left) tallied the game-winner at 106:27 off a long feed from goalkeeper Megan Tuura, who made three saves for the 14th shutout of her career. The Wolverines held the Wildcats to one shot in the overtime periods and outshot the Wildcats 23-16 overall, with Melissa Dobbyn's nine shots leading the attack.
Men's Soccer Falls Short Against Coastal Carolina
Michael Holody and Brian Popeney scored goals for the Wolverines, who outshot Coastal Carolina 26-10 but dropped a 3-2 decision (August 27).
