The ARLIS collection includes hundreds of DVDs and CD-ROMS containing reports, videos and recordings about the natural and cultural resources of Alaska. DVDs and CD-ROMS may be consulted when the ARLIS reference desk is staffed, Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00, except on some holidays.
The Environmental Education collection includes more than 700 books for K-12 educators. All items in this collection circulate to anyone with a valid library card from Anchorage Public Library, UAA/APU, or ARLIS. Alaska reciprocal borrowing arrangements supported via Consortium Library.

The ARLIS E-journal collection includes more than 1260 unique, individually listed titles, plus more than 2,500 additional titles that are accessible via the ScienceDirect collection. The public may access these titles by visiting ARLIS in person. Registered employees of ARLIS Founder Agencies may access these titles remotely. Publishers represented in the ARLIS e-journal collection include BioOne, Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley-Blackwell.
Interior Board of Land Appeals (IBLA) Decisions are available in the ARLIS legal reference section. The Interior Board of Land Appeals is an appellate review body. Administrative judges decide appeals from bureau decisions relating to the use and disposition of public lands and their resources, including Alaska land conveyances.
Aerial photo collections housed in the Map Atrium include large satellite photos (Cases 1 and 14) and Alaska cities aerial photos from the Alaska Department of Transportation (Case 5). Aerial photos from the Alaska Department of Natural Resources are also available (see Collection Spotlights “ADNR Aerial Photo Collection” and “ADNR RS2477 Records and Aerial Photos”).

MAS Files (Mineral Availability System/Mineral Assessment Studies)
The Minerals Availability System (MAS) measured and classified identified mineral resources according to their extraction technologies, economics and commercial availability. The paper and digital files contain information on occurrences, deposits, mines and processing facilities in Alaska.
Wild and Scenic Rivers
Multi-agency collection of original files and photos documenting selection of rivers for the Wild and Scenic River System and includes all candidate rivers as well as those selected.
Database collection
The ARLIS database collection includes more than twenty-five titles. Anyone may consult these databases at ARLIS on a walk-in basis.
E-journals
The ARLIS E-journal collection includes more than 1260 individually listed titles, plus another 1,500 titles in the Elsevier ScienceDirect collection.
ADNR Aerial Photo Collection
Alaska Department of Natural Resources color and black and white aerial photographs of south central Alaska taken by NASA in 1978 and 1979, and a few black and white photos from 1953. The photos are filed by quadrangle, flight line number, film roll number, and frame number.
